Charter Members have the ability to truly impact the trajectory of businesses we back, including active engagement with management. Charter Members are must make two investments per year of at least $10,000.

Our Investment Criteria

  • Large and growing addressable markets or high-value problem to solve
  • A working product. We do not invest until there is a minimum viable product (“MVP”) and initial market fit identified.
  • A University of Pittsburgh affiliate as a Founder or Business Owner.
  • Existing active investment round. 1787 Ventures does not lead rounds or create term sheets.
  • A need for support. What areas of your business are you looking for non-capital support?
